I am over-the-moon to finally be sharing this gorgeous Conservatory at Sussex County Fairgrounds wedding with you! It was just published The Knot New Jersey magazine, so the timing is just right 🙂 Lisa and Jason had been planning their dream wedding for two years and the bride’s entire vision started with picturing her groom in the burgundy velvet suit jacket you’re about to swoon over. She also knew that she wanted to be surrounded by children, and deep, colorful floral arrangements. Over the two years that followed their engagement, they gathered a stellar creative team to bring their vision of a bohemian black tie wedding to life.
They and their families were also very hands-on themselves. Lisa’s parents spent the better part of a year redesigning and redecorating their home so that Lisa would had have the most perfect morning prep location. The couple collected whiskey bottles in order to serve as flower vases during their cocktail hour and after they were gifted a beautiful portrait sketch, they simply glued it to a mirror to be displayed at their reception entrance. The biggest DIY project that Lisa took on was to craft the escort display. She used two rose gold hula hoops, ribbon and escort cards which was then adorned with a floral arrangement by Tracey Reynolds.
When choosing their wedding party, the answer was simple. Lisa would have her best friend, her twin sister, by her side and would have her nothing less than couture. She’d also have her beautiful gaggle of little girls decked out in tulle skirts and flower crowns. Jason would have his brother as his best man, and his extensive group of best friends as his honorary groomsmen.
From what they wore, to their curated details, to their heartfelt vows and everything in between, this wedding will always be one of my most treasured days. Lisa + Jason, I can’t thank you enough for inviting and trusting me to capture every beautiful moment that you created! xo!
