This engagement session was a serendipitous affair from the start. I was first introduced to Annie through a friend and quickly found out that her groom-to-be was the twin of another friend that I had grown up with! After our initial conversations and making plans to shoot their engagement session on a family farm with their refurbished vintage Ford pickup, I knew that I would get along with this laid-back pair. On the morning of their session, there was a change in plans and we needed to find an alternate location. I was determined to find a farm since it was what we had all envisioned and just fit their style so well. I set out to explore with my four-legged assistant, stopping at farms and market stands in the Hudson Valley area. When I came upon Fraleigh’s Rose Hill Farm, I knew it would be perfect! As Karen, the gracious owner, walked me around the property, our small worlds collided when we discovered that she was a longtime co-worker and friend of my aunt! Her and her family were so kind to let us use their farm for our session, and Annie and Tom couldn’t have been happier or more fun to work with.
