Photographing a family member’s wedding always makes the day even more meaningful for me. The beautiful bride, Ana, came into my husband’s family as a caretaker for his younger cousins and elderly grandparents and has since filled the roles of sister, daughter, cousin, granddaughter and best friend. She has a kind and infectiously loving spirit that attracts everyone around her, but nobody more than her new husband, Michael. Their wedding at The Surf Club on the Sound in New Rochelle brought together from all over the world our two animated, outgoing, LOUD families all in celebration of their love. It was a gorgeous day filled with lots of laughter, sentimental details like the custom made wedding gown by Ana’s friend and the family’s grandmother’s jewelry. But as a photographer, one of the highlights for me was taking their portraits at Glen Island Park in the evening just before sunset. It was so gorgeous! These two sweethearts deserve all the happiness in the world and I’m honored to have been a part of their most special day!
A special thanks to Leandra and Jessica for not only shooting with me and helping me throughout the day, but for also taking over during the reception so that I could celebrate with Ana, Mike and our families! xo
