Emily and Seth’s quintessential West Village wedding in NYC last summer was just that… a perfect, intimate downtown wedding in what happens to be my favorite Manhattan neighborhood. The couple is first and foremost family + friends oriented, so their vision for the day started there. They wanted to be surrounded by their closest loved ones in a relaxed setting so that they would be able to spend quality time with each of them. It’s because of this vision that they chose one of New York’s most classic and romantic restaurants, One if by Land, Two if by Sea, to host their wedding day. After starting their day in SoHo at Hotel Hugo with a gorgeous rooftop first look, we meandered through the streets of the village ending at One if by Land, Two if by Sea for their emotional and traditional ceremony followed by a lively and laughter-filled jazz brunch. But the party didn’t stop there! No this was Sunday Funday after all, and the sun was shining bright as the entire wedding paraded the few blocks to Highlands pub where they took over for an afternoon of celebrating! Emily + Seth, thank you for welcoming me into your tight-knit circle to celebrate this most awesome day with you – it was truly some of the most fun I’ve had while photographing a wedding and I wish you a lifetime of that type of fun, love and adventure! xo
Special thanks to my second shooter, Priscilla, for her support and lovely images throughout the day!
